Prof. Dr. Mehmet OZEK
Prof. Dr. Mehmet OZEK (1956) is a popular neurosurgeon in Istanbul, as well as in Turkey. He is specialized in Pediatric Neurosurgery. He was graduated from the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, and received the title of Professor of Neurosurgery in 1999.
He worked as Chief of Clinic in Göztepe Training and Research Hospital of Ministry of Health. This is the clinic that became the only accredited clinic by EANS (The European Association of Neurosurgical Societies) in Turkey. And in 2010, he started to work at Istanbul Acibadem University Faculty of Medicine and became a Professor of Neurosurgery.
He is considered to be one of the best neurosurgeons for especially pediatric patients. He served as the Head of Marmara University Neurosurgery Department and Neurological Sciences Institute, as well as the President of the European Pediatric Neurosurgery Association. He is specialized in spasticity, epilepsy and tumor surgery in pediatric patients.
